Hi Everybody!
I’ve had a very fruitful morning today; I’m still a bit sick but sure much better than yesterday. BTW, thanks for all the get well wishes!
Laura, a friend of mine and I went to the university, but not to study, we still have some days of holidays left; we were walking a little bit, looking for interesting things to shoot at, also tried some portraits and they came out very well because the sunlight was shining on her face, the lighting was amazing!
All of a sudden, while we were walking nearby the botanical garden, we saw two blue things falling off a high tree, as the sun was shining in that part of the garden, the blue looked very vivid and that made us approach to see what was that.
There were 2 birds on the ground, they couldn’t move much and one of them was upside-down, trying to stand on his feet, it really looked like he was suffering a lot; we went looking for someone in the botanical garden who knew about birds, and he came to help these little animals; one of them flew away, he wasn’t that hurted; while the other one was held in the man’s hand, and he took him to drink some water; then he put him on the grass to see if he was gonna fly, but he didn’t.
Laura went to get some more water while I stayed looking after him because there was a dog nearby and I didn’t want him to get too close to the bird, wouldn’t have been a good ending.
I took my camera out and started shooting; really fell in love with the colors of this bird, the blue tones that he’s got are truly amazing, and I really enjoyed how he was posing for me. It reminded me so much of friend of mine who I consider as my brother, Nick, everytime he saw a bird he used to ask me “What do you think the bird is thinking?”, I don’t know what he was thinking, but he looked very afraid.
A couple of minutes later, after he drank some more water, he flew towards the tree that he fell off from.
Gotta say that this morning was very nice, I really enjoyed doing portraits with Laura, trying to improve more in that field which is pretty difficult.
That’s all for today, we ended up saving a bird’s life, and getting some good photos of him.

Hoy tuve una mañana muy productiva, todavía estoy un poco enfermo pero mucho mejor que ayer; por cierto, gracias a todos por los mensajes deseándome pronta recuperación.
Laura -una amiga- y yo fuimos a la universidad, aunque no a estudiar porque todavía tenemos algunos dias más de vacaciones, caminamos, buscamos cosas interesantes para tomar fotos y hacer composiciones, hicimos unos retratos que salieron muy chéveres porque había una excelente luz dada por el sol y la aporvechamos al máximo.
De repente, mientras caminabamoss, vimos dos manchas azules cayendo de un árbol muy alto; debido a la luz del sol, ese azul se veía muy vivo, casi aguamarina, y nosotros nos acercamos a ver qué era lo que se había caido.
Eran dos pájaros, pequeños, no se podían mover mucho, uno de ellos estaba al revés luchando para voltearse, se notaba que estaba sufriendo mucho por el impacto tan fuerte; lo volteamos, y fuimos a buscar en el jardín botánico a alguien que supiera de aves para que las ayudara.
Un señor llegó, y en ese momento, uno de los dos pájaros voló, ese no se veía tan herio como el otro, mientras que el otro fue tomado en las manos del señor, que lo llevó a tomar un poco de agua, y luego lo puso en el cesped para ver si se iba.
El pajarito se quedó ahi, inmovil, Laura fue a buscar más agua mientras yo me quedaba poniéndole cuidado, pues había un perro cerca y yo no quería que se le acercara mucho al pájaro, no quería un mal final.
Saqué la cámara y empecé a tomar fotos, esos tonos de azul que contrastan tan bien con el negro y el amarillo del pico me encantaron; disfruté mucho esos momentos en los que el pajarito posaba para mi, no se movía mucho, y miraba al lente constantemente. Pensé mucho en uno d emis mejores amigo, casi un hermano ara mi, Nick, porque siempre que veía un pájaro me deciía “¿Qué crees que está pensando en este momento?” y no se qué pensaría, pero se veía un poco asustado.
Después de unos minutos, de haber tomado más agua, el pajarito voló hacia el mismo árbol de donde se cayó.
Fue una mañana muy chévere, disfruté mucho hacer retratos con Laura aplicando algunas cosas que leí esta semana sobre ese campo de la fotografía que me parece tan complicado.
Eso es todo por hoy, nunca imaginamos que ibamos a terminar salvando la vida de un pájaro.
