There really isn’t a story behind this shot.

One year ago, when I was doing my 365, I thought about doing this for one of my daily pictures; I had to find the right day for it because this shot takes time and that’s something I was lacking back then. When I finally found the time for it, the outcome wasn’t what I expected and it didn’t work, so I never posted it and tried something else.

A couple of weeks ago I saw a picture of a wine glass with a bokeh background and it reminded me on the picture I was attempting to do some months ago; it sort of inspired me to try it again.

Laura and Sebastian, good friends of mine helped me to set up the whole thing and Laura posed for me.

After more than 50 clicks I finally got the picture that I wanted; this was the outcome.

En realidad no hay una historia como tal sobre esta foto.

Hace un año, cunado estaba haciendo mi proyecto 365, pensé en hacer una foto como esta parte de mi proyecto; tenía que encontrar el día adecuado porque el montaje toma algo de paciencia y tienpo, y de éste último no tenía mucho. Cuando por fin encontré el día adecuado el resultado no fue el esperado,así que tuve que buscar algo más para subir.

Hace unas semanas vi una foto de una copa de vino con bokeh de fondo, y me recordó la foto que hacía un tiempo había tratado de crear; ese mismo día y con ayuda de Laura y Sebastian, dos buenos amigos que me ayudaron a montar todo el escenario, intenté hacerla de nuevo esperando tener un mejor resultado; Laura posó por mucho tiempo hasta que llegué a la foto que quería; este fue el resultado.

Day 154

Hey People!

Today I decided to stay at home and compose something because I had to work a bit and when I work, I usually do it from home.

To me, shooting indoors can be as fun as go out and shoot, but only if I feel creative to composed something decent enough to share, and today I liked the result of my experiment.

This is a macro of some water drops  placed on a cd; shooting this wasn’t as easy as it probably looks like because the focus is totally manual,  and placing a light to get those colors in the cd is quite a task.

You already know that I like shooting macros, even more if there is any water or fire involved.

Hoy decidí quedarme en la casa y componer algo porque tenía que trabajar un poco, y siempre que lo hago es desde la casa.

Para mi, tomar fotos en espacios cerrados puede ser igual o más divertido que salir en busca de otras cosas, pero sólo si me siento creativo para hacer algo lo suficientemente decente para compartir; y hoy, el resultado de mi experimento me gustó, es un macro de gotas de agua reposando en un cd, el enfoque es totalmente manual, y la iluminación para conseguir estos colores en la superficie del cd fue una aventura.

Datos de la toma: Nikon D5000 ; lente: Nikkor AF-S DX 18-55, con un close-up; 36 mm, ISO 200; f/8; 1/250 sec.
