I’m back from my trip. This has been a week to relax and spend time with family and friends that live in Bogotá, the capital.

What I like the most about this city is the weather, it’s cold and that makes it very different to Pereira; there are also so many cultural activities to attend to. What I dislike is the big size of the city and how the traffic makes distances even longer.

Some info about Bogotá:

Bogotá  remains to be the largest and the most populated city in Colombia.

Its high altitude of 2640 meters above the sea level, has given it the position of the third highest major city in the world.

The city average temperature is 14°C , varying from 9ºC to 22ºC.

It was founded in 1538.

Bogotá houses the Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro, the biggest theater festival in the world every two years.

In 2011, Bogotá was inhabited by 10.763.453 people.

Feel free to leave feedback, critiques or suggestions.

Regards.

Hola!

  1. Day 318 and Day 321 are my favourites.
I like all photos except Day 319(the photo is taken nicely only I don’t like the painting), it’s something personal, I don’t like graffiti.
    You did a great job!!!
    Awesome!

    1. Hola Marianne, and thanks for your comment!
There is a shopping mall in Bogotá, pretty close to where I was staying. This shopping mall is composed by 2 buildings, in the middle of them there is a pedestrian street with some cafes and small stores; this street is decorated with different things and every month or every second month they change the decoration.
This time they had umbrellas and I really loved how it looked like with them.

  2. I am in LOVE with Day 316 and Day 318.. The colors are amazing and the perspective on 318 is just magical 🙂

      1. I love those Samoyedo dogs. “Samoyed” in English. Hmmm. Virtually the same. They have a little turn-up at the corners of their mouths that make them look as if they are smiling. They’re smart dogs too.

  3. great wiews and strong colors, the overwiew at night gives perspective and then you captured lots of interesting details in great composition. And…. as a last one this beautiful samoyed. does he/she really like to live in the city? Over here they are happiest outside as much as possible and quite a lot colder to

  4. So hard to have to narrow down to a favorite or two…I’m in love with all the bright colors, the night city photos are fascinating and of course, I’m a softie when it comes to animal portraits. I’m always astounded at the age of some of these cities. All photos were so well composed and interesting. Will be back after my workday to work my way through your blog…it’ll be a treat for sure!
