Day 11.

Today I went for a ride around the city, and all of a sudden found a goat that was kind of posing for me, so I took advantage of it and shot today’s photo.

Goats are one of the oldest domesticated species. In the twentieth century they were considered as pets. They are very popular for its milk, meat and skin all over the world.

Its life expectancy is between 15 and 18 years, but there’s been a 24 years old goat reported.

Some facts about goats:

The proper name for a group of goats is a trip.

Goats are great swimmers.

Their pupils are rectangular, which gives them a better vission when its dark.

Goats were domesticated around 7000 B.C.

Domestic goats are found worldwide.

Each breed of dairy goat gives a different tasting milk.

Goat’s discovered coffee beans.

Goats catch colds and can succumb to pneumonia.

  1. Hvor er den sø’! Minder mig om der, hvor jeg var i zoo den anden dag! 😀
    Bukken var sprunget over sin indhegning for noget tid siden, og var hoppet på alle gederne i løbet af natten!! Så der var overflod af kid, der hoppede rundt. De har bare slet ikke plads til alle de geder i indhegningen, så nu er der en masse der skal fodres til løverne – aw 😦
